Capping
Capping is a treatment method applied to preserve and manage the pulp (nerve and vessel) tissue of the tooth.
This treatment is particularly used in deep cavities or trauma close to the pulp tissue. The materials used in pulp capping support the tooth’s self-repair ability, enabling repair and regeneration processes.
Pulp capping can be done in two types, and if the pulp tissue is exposed, a special biomaterial is placed directly on the pulp.
