Surgical Tooth Extraction
Your dentist will do their best to save your tooth whenever possible. However, if a tooth needs to be extracted for a good reason, your dentist will do it to improve your oral health.
For example, if you have had an accident where your tooth was irreparably damaged, your dentist may need to perform a surgical extraction or intervention to remove it.
You may also have an infected tooth that is too fragmented to be successfully repaired or reconstructed using a filling or crown.
Alternatively, if you have periodontal disease, it can weaken your jawbone and cause the affected teeth to become loose. In this case, it may be safer to remove the tooth so your dentist can treat the periodontal disease.
